The finest tradition of textiles in Peru is ancient; a legacy that dates back to the preinca times which is considered one of the richest traditions in the world. The Peruvians of yore used Vicuña, Guanaco, Alpaca, Llama and cotton fibers to create the finest and most sophisticated designs in that time. The Incas, the founders of the biggest Peruvian empire, did not reward their nobles with gold or silver but with gifts created by expert knitters and weavers. This ancestral legacy today fills us with pride and allows us to offer the entire world with our great treasure, exquisite alpaca garments.
INTIALPACA was inspired by this tradition and uses the natural ability of its people, to create fine pieces made out of first-class alpaca fiber. Our process of knitting is social and environmentally friendly, as it is done using traditional methods, so not to harm the environment.
Currently INTIALPACA is a company dedicated to the production, design and distribution of products made of alpaca and baby alpaca, manufactured under the strictest quality standards. We sell garments and accessories knitted using handcrafting machines and handmade, those are delivered on time and safely. INTIALPACA works with its own designs and according to customer's request. The pieces we offer in our catalog are exclusive designs, that are exquisitely created and these are a clear manifestation of our distinction, dedication and determination.
INTIALPACA is located in Arequipa city, Peru. It has two alpaca shops, the first within one of the most beautiful colonial buildings of the city, “Claustros de la Compañia” and the second in the famous Colca Valley in Chivay.
